See you in spring 2026

The IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation, based in Malaga, Spain, in collaboration with the IUCN SSC Mollusc Specialist Group and the Laboratory of Experimental Ecology and Aquaculture of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, is organizing an expert workshop on Pinna nobilis for early spring.

The event, which will take place in Italy and to which LIFE Pinna researchers have also been invited, aims to exchange knowledge and coordinate efforts for more effective conservation of the large bivalve throughout the Mediterranean region. The workshop will include a practical laboratory session on ex situ conservation at the Roman university’s facilities and a field visit to the Venice lagoon.
