LIFE Pinna photo contest kicks off

The first edition of the LIFE Pinna photo contest took place during the summer 2022 and received an overwhelming response, as evidenced by the stunning winning images.

The second edition of the “Life among the reef” photo contest is now open for submissions until midnight on 24 September, 2023.

The contest invites all those who photograph the beauty of the Mediterranean to partecipate, whether by snorkeling or exploring the coast, and capture the biodiversity that still thrives in the Mediterranean, even just a stone’s throw from the coast.

Winners will receive prizes such as marine-themed books, t-shirts, and gadgets from the LIFE Pinna project.

When you are at sea, please remember to report any alive individuals of the bivalve mollusc Pinna nobilis, now increasingly rare and indispensable for the LIFE Pinna project. You can use this simple form.
